What are they?

Who can apply them?

Have you ever wondered how to apply them?
The threads are applied dermally using a very fine needle. After having positioned the thread correctly, the needle is withdrawn and the thread remains fixed in the desired area.
The threads do not need sutures or anchoring, so it facilitates and speeds up their application. In addition, we add that they are not noticeable to the touch and much less to the eye.
Areas in which they can be applied
They can be applied in different parts of our body obtaining impressive and general results, for example:
- Facial: lifts the eyebrows, corrects dark circles, defines the facial oval, firms the neck, contours the lips, erases crow's feet, rhinomodelling, lipolysis of the double chin and neckline.
Yarn types
There is a lot of information about threads around social networks, therefore we like to be objective when giving the information to our users. There are two types of threads:
- Spiculated thread: these are collagen inducers. They are indicated for this recognition in the initial phases of collagen loss.
- Monofilament thread: these are the threads indicated to be used anywhere on the face. They allow us to pull and reposition the tissues in their location. At a more advanced time, we can get a full lifting effect.
- Multifilament tensioning threads: they are much thicker than monofilament, although less than spiculated. They are used especially to reduce wrinkles and the contour of the mouth, causing a filling effect.
Process for applying the tensioning threads
- In the first instance, our doctor will apply local anesthesia to the face.
- Before starting, our specialist will mark with a marker the area where the thread will go.
- Next, a fine needle will be inserted with the thread, which should have an inlet and an outlet.
After completing this process, we will finally apply little pressure to reposition the skin and then the skin will immediately tighten.
We must know that there is no limit of threads that are used as long as the guidelines generally indicated by the laboratory are followed. The time of this process will depend on the skill of the doctor and the number of threads that will be applied. Generally, the treatment can be 4 strands in one session, 2 on each side. The doctor will decide the number of threads, either more or less.
How long can its effect last?
These threads have a double effect, stimulating collagen and tightening the area where it was applied, in order to reactivate its production. Its results are immediate and progressive due to the lifting effect, its duration can reach 18 months.
About 3 months after (approximately) having been applied the final objective will be reached. And, although the body manages to absorb the threads between 6 and 8 months, their effects continue to be maintained for 12 to 18 months, during this time the activity of the fibroblasts and the cells that are responsible for producing collagen and elastin are produced, consequently , the tightening effect is prolonged.
